The Lithographic Academy has the great pleasure to invite artists, printers and art schools to take part in workshops, seminars and exhibitions during the 9th International Lithographic Symposium.
The Lithographic Academy arranges the 9th International Lithographic Symposium in Tidaholm, Sweden, from July 28th until August 9th 2026.

The Lithographic Academy in Tidaholm has every fourth year since 1990 arranged international symposiums centred around lithographic art. The first week of the symposium is a compact program of workshops, seminars and speeches around lithographic art. Workshops mainly take place in the printmaking workshops on Vulcan Island in the centre of Tidaholm.
Seminars and speeches take place in Marbodal Center, a conference building next to the workshop. Exhibitions are shown in 3 galleries in town.

Lectures and Workshops:
Following the opening of the Symposium and its exhibitions on 28/7 the Symposium will consist of 4 days of lectures and presentations, starting on Wed 29/7 until Sat 1/8, from 09:00 to 17:00. Please mark the evening of Friday 31/7 in your calendar for the traditional Lithographer’s Party!

Exhibitions:
Artists, printshops and art schools are invited to send lithographic art to the symposium exhibitions. The works must be lithographs but mixed media works that contain lithographic print will also be accepted. The exhibited works will be for sale if not marked otherwise.
The Lithographic Academy retains a commission of 20%. Transport costs for works sent to the exhibitions are covered by the sender. The Lithographic Academy will pay the costs for return shipment.

The fee for participating in the exhibitions is 500 SEK. This fee includes participation in the printed catalogue with 1 work of art, insurance during the exhibition and return shipment. Please send in max 5 prints.
The fee for printshops / student groups is 600 SEK. Please send in max 10 prints.
The photo for the catalogue must be 300dpi or higher.

Attending the symposium:
Attending the seminars and workshops is free of charge, as is visiting the exhibitions.

Application:
All available rooms at Helliden Castle are now booked. We encourage you to find private accommodation. Attending the symposium itself is free of charge and requires no registration.
